One person, a case of tools, and no shop.
I am Noah. I run Outpost Tech out of Beaufort, and I am the only person who will ever show up.
No dispatcher, no rotating techs, no counter to wait at.
WHY THERE IS NO SHOP
Rent, a counter, and a sign.
A storefront is rent, a counter and a sign — and all three end up on your invoice.
The part people actually hate is handing the machine to a stranger and waiting a week to hear anything. That is the part I removed.
Working at your table costs me time instead of rent. It is also why travel is a line on the estimate rather than a markup you never see.
WHY I STARTED IT
The call I was already getting.
For years I have been the person friends and neighbors call when a laptop crawls, or will not boot the night before something is due.
Around here the options were a counter that quotes you nothing, or a shop that keeps your machine for a week.
So I built the version I would want: a price you can read in advance, a person whose name you know, and the job finished in one sitting.
WHAT I WILL NOT TOUCH
Two jobs, turned down on purpose.
A live security incident needs a firm that does incident response. A failing drive needs a lab, not a hurried hour at your table.
In both cases the right first move is the same: power it off and stop using it. That advice is free and there is nothing attached to it to buy.
Rushing either one makes the outcome worse, and I would rather lose the work than be the reason it got worse. The full reasoning is on the services page.
WHAT I AM NOT
Said plainly.
I hold no certifications, and I am not going to imply otherwise.
Outpost Tech is insured, and it is brand new — no paying customers yet, which is why you will not find a single review on this site.
Inventing those would be the fastest way to deserve none.
If that sounds like what you want, write to me.
